The experience remains. The response can change.

Emotion Pathway® is a practical, trauma-informed skill people can use for themselves when an experience continues to trigger an emotional response — without needing to disclose, talk through or relive what happened.

Where it sits

Designed to sit in the space between
“something has affected me” and
“I need additional support.”

It adds a skill people can apply themselves, alongside existing wellbeing provision, not in place of it.

Our work

Two practical approaches.
One purpose.

02 / Practitioner training

The Manse Method®

A psycho-sensory approach that helps change the emotional response attached to past experiences, without requiring you to talk through or relive what happened.

The memory itself isn't erased; the focus is on changing the response attached to it.

Who we work with

A skill designed to live
inside real organisations.

Not something reserved only for people already identified as struggling.

In their words

“I wondered whether the effects would last and whether I could reproduce the technique with the same results. So far yes, and I have used the technique since and it has worked brilliantly.”

Dr. Kate Steiner

“It gave me the tools to head into life's battles and be able to face them head on. Would definitely recommend. You can come out with a new lease of life, and two new friends.”

Dr. Chris McLeod

“One of the best things happened to me in many years! What an amazing experience for the emotional and physical wellbeing! Highly Recommended!”

Co-founderCarl Dourish

Founded by Kim Dourish and Carl Dourish. Kim brings extensive senior HR and People & Culture experience, including global HR policy, organisational transformation and senior Diversity & Inclusion leadership at RBS. Her career has centred on understanding people, culture and the systems around them, and on creating environments where individuals and organisations can work better. She also brings a strong background in training, facilitation and wellbeing, combining practical organisational experience with a deep understanding of how people respond under pressure and through change.

Carl brings more than 30 years' experience working directly with people, including travelling internationally to work with individuals affected by some of the most complex and traumatic life experiences. A trainer, author and speaker, his work has included veterans, emergency-services personnel and people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.

That combined experience has shaped the practical work Kim and Carl have developed together.

Our mission

A ripple of

We believe people should not have to remain held in place by the emotional impact of what has already happened.

Built for practice, not theory alone
