Emotion Pathway® for Workplaces & Organisations
People don't leave difficult experiences at the door when they come to work.
Something that happens at work or in someone's personal life can continue affecting them long after the event itself has passed.
Emotion Pathway® gives people a practical framework they can learn and use themselves to help change the emotional response connected to difficult experiences.

What if support started earlier?
Most organisations have support available when someone is already struggling. But there is often a gap between something beginning to affect an employee and the point at which they seek or receive support.
Emotion Pathway® helps fill that gap by giving employees a practical skill they can use for themselves, at the point they first recognise that something is continuing to affect them.
It works alongside existing wellbeing provision, giving people another option before they reach the point of feeling overwhelmed or needing more formal support.
A simple 5R framework
Emotion Pathway® gives people a simple process they can remember and use for themselves:
Recognise | Reassure | Release | Return | Reflect
The Release stage draws on The Manse Method® principles, giving people a practical way to work with the emotional response connected to the experience.

They don’t have to tell you what happened
Emotion Pathway® is content-free. Employees can work privately with what is affecting them without having to disclose the details to a manager, colleague or HR.
This gives employees greater privacy and autonomy, while enabling organisations to provide practical support without needing to know the personal details behind it.
More than awareness
Emotion Pathway® goes beyond recognising that someone is struggling or knowing where to seek support.
It gives employees a practical process they can use themselves when they notice an emotional response is continuing to affect them.

Designed for the whole workforce
Emotion Pathway® can be used across the whole organisation, giving employees and managers a shared framework for recognising when something is affecting them and taking practical action earlier.
Training is practical, structured and designed to give people skills they can use within everyday working life.
Work affects people. Life affects people
Not every emotional response affecting someone at work started there.
Bereavement, relationships, conflict, frightening experiences or events at work can all leave an emotional impact. That impact may show up in the workplace as changes in behaviour, performance or relationships, without the underlying reason ever being recognised.
Emotion Pathway® gives people a practical way to work with that emotional response privately.

What could earlier intervention change?
Mental Health First Aid, EAPs and existing wellbeing services all have an important place. But there is often a gap between something affecting an employee and them reaching out for support.
Emotion Pathway® helps fill that gap. It gives employees a practical skill they can use for themselves, privately and in the moment, without having to disclose what happened, wait for an appointment or feel that asking for help could be seen as a sign of weakness.
It doesn’t replace existing support. It adds something that is often missing, the ability to take action for yourself.
Bring Emotion Pathway® to your organisation
We work with organisations that want to move beyond simply recognising when people are struggling and give their employees something practical they can actually use.
Emotion Pathway® puts a private, self-applied skill into the hands of employees, helping them take action when something is affecting them, without having to wait for an appointment or disclose what happened, while existing wellbeing and support pathways remain there when needed.
