I have spent over three decades helping people move beyond emotional pain and step into lasting personal transformation. For me, this work has never simply been a profession, it is deeply personal.

My own life has been shaped by profound loss. I lost my father as a young boy through abandonment, my mother 25 years ago, and in 2024 my only son, James, at the age of 28. These experiences gave me a very real understanding of grief, emotional pain and the quiet patterns that difficult life events can leave behind. They also shaped my determination to find practical ways to help people move forward when life feels overwhelming or stuck.

Over the years I have trained as a counsellor and hypnotherapist, developing a deep understanding of how experiences can influence the way people think, feel and live their lives. I completed my hypnotherapy training with Europe’s oldest hypnotherapy school, the World Federation of Hypnotherapists, which incorporates the British Association of Therapeutical Hypnotists.

Alongside this, I have trained in a range of specialist approaches that focus on how the brain processes difficult experiences. These include Visual Coding Displacement Therapy, Integral Eye Movement Therapy, and Multichannel Eye Movement Integration, modalities designed to help people change how past events are processed so they no longer carry the same emotional weight.

Through years of working with individuals and exploring different approaches to transformation, Kim and I developed The Manse Method®, a psycho-sensory technique designed to help people release emotional weight and shift long-standing patterns without needing to repeatedly relive painful memories.

Today my work includes hypnotherapy, transformational retreats and private sessions, where I support people navigating a wide range of life challenges. Some come seeking support for grief or emotional overwhelm, while others are looking for clarity, change or a new direction in life.

My belief is simple: no one is broken. Sometimes life leaves us feeling stuck, overwhelmed or defined by what has happened to us. But transformation can begin the moment someone decides they are ready to move forward.

At The Manse, whether through private work, retreats or our growing community, my aim is to help people rediscover what life feels like when it becomes lighter, freer and full of possibility again.
